Welcome to the Farmington Township website.  Farmington Township, located in northwest Trumbull County, was originally called Henshaw.  Samuel Henshaw was one of the original owners.  E.P. Wolcott, who lived in Farmington, Connecticut before coming to Trumbull County, named our township Farmington.

Our first settlers, David Curtis and Captain Lewis Wolcott arrived in 1806.  For more information on our history, click here.

Farmington consists of the unincorporated area of the township as well as the one square mile

West Farmington Village located within the boundaries of the township.  About 2300 people make their home here.

We hope that you find this website a good source of information.  Please feel free to contact the trustees with any suggestions to make it better.
